Well the first week of school is done! Olivia only went to school once (she had staggered entry on Wednesday) and it was a short week for Grace, we were all super spent and we were ready for an early bed time on Friday night!
I made a School Year's Resolution to be perfectly organized, always having clothes out, lunches packed, paper work signed, homework done, backpacks packed, shoes and jackets ready! So Monday night I went around the house and completed all these tasks so we could be out of the house Tuesday Morning by 7:35 to catch Grace's bus! I was beyond organized for Tuesday morning, even having a shower and getting ready before the girls got up! I was feeling confident on timing and was even able to pound out some blueberry pancakes for breakfast on the first day of school! WOW - I did it, breakfast dished cleaned up, shoes on and out the door by 7:35! Too good to be true -YUP I think so!
So some of you know that I have never had my driver's license. Well with the purchase of a new vehicle (now a 2 vehicle family), and Olivia getting into her specialized program, I had no choice but to start driving! So me being me, and not liking to rush into things I went for my driver's test the day before Olivia had to go to school! I have never been so nervous in my ENTIRE life!! I think giving birth twice was easier and less stressful then taking this test. I have never been a strong test taker, and to say that I was worried was an understatement!
The test was booked for 2:00 on Tuesday, Grace had to be picked up at the bus stop at 3:15 ( no pressure)! Thank goodness we have the best neighbors and friends in the world (Jewley and Nadir), and Jewely was more then happy to head to the bus stop for Grace just in case I didn't arrive on time! So off I headed to take my test, super stressed, beyond sweaty, and feeling like I was about to have a panic attack! Without going into extreme detail - I PASSED!!!! I worked myself up into such a state that I had the most extreme migraine, and I headed to bed at 7:00 - so much for my organization skills!
Anyways, the first week was great! Grace has told me a few times that I ask WAY TOO MANY questions about Grade one, but she always tells me how much she loves it! Olivia had her first day (which I was able to driver her) she cried for me and wanted me stay! (Knife to heart)! But when I went back to pick her up, she started to cry again, because this time she wanted to stay! All in all a pretty darn good week! Let's hope the year runs smoothly! Enjoy some pics from the first week!
